CogFest, UVA's only celebration of all things Cognitive Science, has been officially scheduled for Friday April 12th from 2pm-5pm in Gilmer 490 Academic Commons Reading Room. Organized by the UVA Society for Cognitive Science and the Cognitive Science Program, the event will feature talks from UVA faculty whose work is relevant to Cognitive Science:

  • Dr Mariana Teles Santos Golino from the Cognition, Aging, and Interventions Lab (College of Arts & Sciences Psychology Dept)
  • Dr Elise Cope from the Cope Lab (School of Medicine Neuroscience Dept)
  • Dr Laura Barnes from the Sensing Systems for Health Lab (School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Dept of Systems and Information Engineering)
  • Dr Tobias Grossman from the UVA Baby Lab (College of Arts & Sciences Psychology Dept)

Following faculty presentations will be a lunch reception with poster presentations from current Cognitive Science DMP students about their own research. Student presenters' work will be judged by faculty, and prizes will be awarded to the three best presenters.
