The Cognitive Science Program proudly congratulates the Class of 2026 on their graduation from the University of Virginia. On May 16, 2026, we celebrated 169 graduates during our annual Cognitive Science graduation ceremony, joined by family, friends, faculty, and staff.

The ceremony was opened by Program Director Mariana Teles, who recognized the hard work, resilience, and accomplishments of this year’s graduating class. We were also honored to hear thoughtful remarks from Professor Jim Coan from the Department of Psychology, a beloved instructor and mentor who was selected by students as this year’s guest speaker.

Congratulations once again to the Class of 2026. We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to seeing the paths you pursue next
